I personally reversed Type 2 Diabetes with a plant-based lifestyle. I became a vegetarian five years after diagnosis and began to take group exercise classes at the gym. I hated lifting weights, gym equipment and found it all to be so boring. I refused to lift weights because they ‘just made me look bigger.’ Does this sound familiar? Instead I took back to back cycling, kickboxing and strength training classes per week and incorporated swimming into my routine to challenge myself even more.
About a year later, I had lost 34 lbs and reversed Type 2 Diabetes. There was just one problem. My workout routine was not sustainable long term. And, it also wasn’t necessary to beat my body into submission on a daily basis in order to lose weight, build muscle and reverse Type 2 Diabetes.
Coach Ness helps you to improve your current eating habits by reviewing what, when and why you eat, discover coping mechanisms and help you change your mindset so you can enjoy eating and exercising while improving your health.
Gaining weight does not make you a bad or irresponsible person. Type 2 Diabetes, PCOS or other illnesses does not make you a failure. It’s your body’s way of communicating that your current dietary and fitness habits are not working for you, even if they work for someone you know.
I personally struggled with PCOS, Type 2 Diabetes and high cholesterol. After reversing the diabetes I continued to struggle with weight gain. In 2015 I had gastric bypass surgery and lost 100 lbs. To date, I have kept the weight off because I worked on my habits and mindset. You can do it too. Are you ready?

She builds your endurance and confidence by teaching you how to breathe during hills and elevations, use your core to support each movement and correct body positioning and posture for overall comfort. Her cycling classes are great for both cyclists and fitness enthusiasts who enjoy riding indoors.

Coach Ness has experience teaching a variety of group exercise classes including Boot Camp, CORE, indoor cycling, and TRX classes. She created and introduced Relieve and Recover a foam rolling and flexibility class at the YMCA Reynoldsburg. Relieve and Recover quickly gained popularity when members realized how it was improving their mobility and ability to lift heavier without pain.
Whether Coach Ness is training you or teaching a class, she uses corrective exercise techniques to help you achieve the best performance results while reducing the chances of injury and chronic pain by teaching you the proper form for each exercise. She also progresses or regresses as necessary to help you build the necessary endurance and strength for overall improvement.
If you are seeking guidance to transition to a plant-based lifestyle, Coach Ness can provide a program to help you maintain the right balance of macros. As a certified health coach, she not only has the professional credentials and experience, but also provides insights from her personal journey as a vegetarian.
